In the Line of Fire

APTOS -- Stephanie Morse, right, is helpless to do anything but wait as a stream of Silly String heads her way from a a spray can held by Rabbi Richard Litvak at a Purim celebration at Temple Beth El on Sunday.  Purim is the most festive of Jewish holidays, a time of prizes, noisemakers, costumes and treats.

"The Festival of Purim commemorates the foiling of an extermination plot aimed at Persia's Jews nearly 2,500 years ago." 

This year, Purim begins on sundown on Saturday.
