Family Education

We offer a variety of opportunities for families to share our heritage and learn together.

Shabbat Services—All of our services are child-friendly. We encourage parents to check the calendar and come to services with their children. Seeing parents enjoy their prayer experience supports children in their Jewish studies. We especially encourage families, teens, and young adults to attend "Rock Shabbat" wich is the 3rd Friday of every month from October through May at 7:30pm. Families with young children particularly enjoy our Tot Shabbat services.

Family Learning Program—Once a month, parents accompany their children in the classroom for a shared learning experience, updating their own education, strengthening the familial, Jewish bond, and invoking academic discussion at home. In the Bar/Bat Mitzvah year, our clergy team leads B'nai mitzvah candidates and their parents on an exploration of ritual, mitzvot, and study relevant to this important year in Jewish family life.

Simcha Preschool—The Temple's preschool builds early Jewish identity. Preschoolers learn about the celebration of the Jewish holidays through art, science, cooking, stories, songs, and dramatic play. Parents participate actively in the preschool, building their own Jewish community and learning about Judaism through their children's eyes.

Children's Programs—The Temple offers additional programs for parents and children to learn, have fun, and meet other families.
