Our community thrives on a partnership between our clergy, staff, and members. We seek together to grow in our knowledge and practice of Judaism. We work to develop our congregation and its ability to impact individuals and the world.

Our members are diverse, spanning all ages and coming from a range of Jewish backgrounds. Some have Orthodox upbringings, others grew up in traditional Reform synagogues or very liberal settings. Some have extensive Jewish knowledge, while others are learning about Judaism as adults. About half of our membership is interfaith families—a fairly common statistic in Reform congregations nationwide. We warmly welcome and fully include our GLBT members.

We encourage all of our members to participate on committees, volunteer to help out when they can, and come to our programs and services to make the synagogue a central part of their lives.

Our clergy brings a passion for Jewish learning together with a commitment to our members' well-being and growth.

Our staff works tirelessly to keep our facility and membership records are in order, to run our religious school and preschool, and to make sure that our members are well served.

Our Board of Directors, a group of committed Temple members, sets policy for the synagogue and does much of the work to ensure that we have programs, volunteers, membership outreach, cemeteries, and a thousand other things our membership counts on. In its workings, the Board strives to keep true to the Jewish values that we share.

Our volunteer committees reach out to the Temple Beth El community and beyond, feeding the homeless through the Mazon Project, supporting youth and adult education, keeping our facilities in order, designing and producing our programs, and much more.
