1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Retired community college dance instructor, Donna Frankel, has been organizing trips for her students since 1996 when she led her first dance cruise to Alaska. For several years, she worked as the Extended Trip Coordinator for the Sunnyvale Senior Center, organizing and leading land trips to exotic destinations including Cuba, Iceland, Costa Rica, Canada, Panama, etc. Since 2015, Donna has led seven trips to India. Several of them have been devoted to Jewish India where seven Jewish communities have lived since biblical times. Donna is a member of Congregation Beth David in Saratoga. Donna is offering a cruise to Alaska in May 2026.
Wendy Peikes’ love of travel has taken her all over Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and most recently and frequently, India. Four trips to India, each one of them more amazing than the last. She's been to Indian weddings, rode the rails all over Southern India, had Indian garments custom made for her, and met people and dogs from Cochin in the south to Himachal Pradesh in the north. Wendy will be taking over Donna’s Jewish Heritage tour with World Escapes. She will be leading a trip in May 2026.
Donna and Wendy will share fascinating stories and slides of their combined travels, highlighting several Jewish Indian communities. There will be time to ask questions and get more information if you are interested in joining one of their upcoming trips. Please bring your friends. All are welcome.
