Speaker: Professor Bruce Thompson, UCSC Historian

“A Retrospective on the Korean and Vietnam Wars in Honor of our Veterans”

November 11, 2018 falls on Veterans Day weekend – a perfect time to honor those who served in our country's wars. Please join us at 10 AM Sunday, Nov. 11 to hear a lecture from Professor Bruce Thompson, who will speak on the history of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Professor Thompson is a member of UCSC's Dept. of History and its Jewish Studies Program and teaches courses in the fields of environmental history, intellectual history, and the history of espionage and intelligence. In addition to Professor Thompson's presentation, we welcome any TBE veterans who wish to attend or share their experiences. If you do wish to speak, please contact brunch organizer Glenn Millhauser by email (glennm@ucsc.edu). As usual, our brunch will begin at 10 AM with our delicious lox and bagel feast and short discussion of Brotherhood business, followed by Professor Thompson's talk at 11:00, concluding around noon. Recommended donation is $5 for Brotherhood members, $7 for non-Brotherhood members. Come help celebrate this important holiday and honor our vets!
