A Jewish Spiritual Home/Beit T'Filah

Temple Beth El is a Jewish spiritual center for ritual and prayer. We find enduring meaning and compelling relevance in Jewish tradition in ways that enrich our lives. Our prayer services blend the beauty of tradition with creative new spiritual expression that touches our souls and enables our members to find purpose, meaning, inspiration and comfort. We also foster spiritual growth through classes like God through Jewish Eyes, Judaism as a Spiritual Journey, Jewish Meditation, and the personal spiritual guidance of our knowledgeable and approachable rabbis. Our on-line Saturday morning service website is among many ways we make learning of the prayers and melodies of our services accessible.

Erev Shabbat Services

Friday Evenings at 7:30 PM. Everyone is invited to our Friday night services, which take various forms including the partly mystical, always musical and somewhat magical Rock Shabbat, warm and friendly English enriched services and engaging family-friendly services sometimes combined with community dinners.

Shabbat Services

Saturday Mornings 10:00 AM. Lay leaders and Rabbis share in leading these traditional services, enriched with our own egalitarian prayer book that includes the traditional prayers and contemporary English interpretations. You will sense the warm spirit of community in this intimate Shabbat service which always includes lively Torah study and discussion of the portion of the week. Everyone is also welcome to join in the worship celebration of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah that integrates this pivotal rite of passage into the Shabbat service.

Beth El Choir

Our acclaimed volunteer adult choir enhances High Holidays and several Friday night services throughout the year. Their uplifting music deeply enriches the worship services each time they sing.

Jewish Holidays

Temple Beth El celebrates holidays and festivals, often in very creative and contemporary ways, striking a balance between tradition and innovation. Women may find our Temple’s unique, warm and bonding monthly celebration of the new moon (Rosh Chodesh) a wonderful addition to your spiritual life. We think that, like us, you will be inspired by our holiday celebrations.

High Holidays

Our High Holiday services bring the richness and meaning of the Days of Awe. Children and young families enjoy wonderful services and programs together.

Life Cycle Celebrations/Observance
Our caring and knowledgeable rabbis provide personalized life cycle rituals for all stages of life including Brit Milah/Baby Naming, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Confirmation, Conversion and Weddings, funerals and memorials. We are also blessed to have our own Chevrah Kaddisha (Jewish Burial Society) and two Jewish cemeteries.
