Join Brotherhood on a hike through The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park. We had such a successful hike last year in Nisene Marks that we thought we’d explore a different part of the Park this time. We’ll be led once again by State Parks guide (and Brotherhood member) Paul Karz on an historic old rail path to the Porter House, a logging mill and fossil site. It’s a beautiful, moderate-level, 3.5-mile roundtrip hike. The hike will take roughly 3 hours, and participants are welcome to bring their lunch to enjoy afterwards in the Porter Picnic area. Please bring water. Drive beyond the entrance kiosk to park in the Porter Family Picnic Area. Parking is $10 per car; we encourage carpooling. We’ll start promptly at 10:00.
