The mikveh experience will take place right before sunrise, so please arrive promptly at 6:30am as we will begin at that time. We will meet on the grass right inside the gates of Private’s Beach area on the eastside of Santa Cruz. Bring a warm jacket and towel for after immersing in the water. We will circle to begin, learn a little about the ritual, reflect together and then walk down to the water for solo immersion time. Traditionally a person would be totally nude for this experience, and it is up to you if you would like to do this. Often people will bring a robe, or big towel to walk down to the water with and take off when entering. If you prefer to wear a bathing suit that is also fine. We will spread out and give space to one another. The walkway down to the beach is a bit steep and narrow, if you need assistance, please let Chelsea cmandell@tbeaptos.org know ahead of time. This experience is very moving and holy way to enter the Jewish New Year
