Gilda Zelin was born in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from Adelphi University with a BA in English and a Masters in Education. She and her husband retired to California, where she first began to write and paint. She published a memoir, A Widow's Journey, after her husband died.
She began to write very short stories for the "First Person Singular" program on KUSP, Santa Cruz's local radio station, and continues to write about her life experiences with sensitivity and humor in this wise and wonderful book.
Gilda's life is filled with a medley of yoga, walking, painting, volunteering in community organizations, and writing . . . and she is still going!
