Join Rabbi Shifra and Peter Weiss-Penzias for a new tradition, based on an old tradition. Tisch is Yiddish for table, but it also refers to a festive Friday night gathering, hosted by a rabbi, involving singing, teachings and stories. We will share a Shabbat vegetarian potluck dinner together around one big table, and instead of Erev Shabbat Services in the sanctuary, we will welcome Shabbat around the table with song, stories and learning. Mourner’s Kaddish will be recited. All ages welcome. Pre-registration requested. A small donation to offset staffing expenses encouraged. Please bring a vegetarian main dish, side dish, or dessert.
In the interest of community care:
Stay home if you are sick or have cold symptoms. Everyone is urged to stay up to date on vaccinations. Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Masks are encouraged. Anyone who is coughing or sneezing is required to wear a mask (due to allergies or lingering cough from a cold).
