Come join a weekly writing group, led by Renee Winter, a writer of memoir and essays. Students will be given writing prompts from Natalie Goldberg’s book “Writing Down to the Bones” to inspire them to write the stories we all have inside of us. Just bring a notebook and pen, or laptop! Renee has participated in local writing practice and feedback classes in Santa Cruz for the past 14 years. Her essays have appeared in several literary journals, including Qu Magazine, Coachella Literary Review, Exposition Review and the anthology, Tales of our Lives. She also participated in the 2016 Santa Cruz Celebration of the Muse, which honors Santa Cruz women writers. A retired attorney, Renee currently is a volunteer poetry and writing teacher at the local Santa Cruz jails. Maximum of 12 participants.
