As we head into our new normal, we are making additional adjustments to our reopening policies.
For all in-person, indoor events at TBE, such as Temple School, Simcha, religious services and meetings:
  • Attendees who are eligible are required to be fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid.
  • Masking is optional (But highly encouraged in interest of community care).
  • The first two rows on the side of services in the sanctuary will be reserved for those wearing masks.
  • Outdoor seating with heat lamps, sound and video will continue upon request for religious services.
  • Room occupancy will reflect our posted allowed numbers.
TBE will continue to provide online, in-person and hybrid programming in an effort to offer everyone the opportunity to engage and learn in the manner they feel most comfortable.
In keeping with our practice to honor and respect our differences, we encourage everyone to fully support those who choose to wear a mask.
We will continue to utilize our outdoor space as much as is practical; to be determined by the officiant or Executive Director.
Please do not attend any in-person event at TBE if you have tested positive in the last 10 days (unless you are no longer testing positive) or if you have symptoms of Covid or other illnesses. As always please follow your doctors direction for when you can safely return to congregant settings with seniors and others in our community who are our most vulnerable.
Our policies reflect the consistent “green” status for Santa Cruz, continuous low hospitalization rates and consultation with public health professionals and is subject to change. In addition, our ventilation system has been upgraded to improve air quality and reduce potential for the airborne transmission of disease.
