Monday, October 10, 2022 15 Tishrei 5783

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Please join us for a hybrid Hallel service in the Sukkah.  If you would like to come in person, please register below.  As October 10th is also Indigenous People’s Day, we will be exploring the intersection of Sukkot and this important day.  If you would like to come on Zoom, it is not necessary to register.  Click here for the Zoom link.

Wondering what is Hallel?  Hallel, prayers of praise and thanksgiving are chanted on Sukkot, with the waving of the lulav and etrog. Chanted on our Festivals  and the New Moon these psalms express praise and thanksgiving.  On Sukkot Hallel includes the mitzvah of “waving” the Four Species – the lulav, a cluster of palm, willow, and myrtle leaves gathered in our hands, with an etrog, a lemon-like fruit. These movements are not random waving but a very specific choreography that uses the whole body and our ability to focus our minds and body together.
