First Grade
 
-The Jewish Holiday Cycle with a special focus on Hanukkah
-Various Torah Stories, including Creation Story and Noah’s Ark
-Jewish values
-Introduction to the Hebrew Alef-Bet/Hebrew colors/Active Hebrew
-Experiencing Tefillah (prayer) and blessings
-Tzedakah
 
Second and Third Grade 
(Curriculum alternates every other year)
 
-Experience the joy of connection to Jewish culture and holidays that people feel when they are in Israel
-Israel cities and landmarks
-Jewish values, compassionate behavior, Tikkun Olam (working towards positive change in our world)
-Hebrew Literacy words/Hebrew reading readiness/Active Hebrew
-Jewish songs and music
-Attendance at short weekly Tefillah (prayer service) 
 
-Introduction to holiday customs and symbols, with a special focus on Passover
-Expansion of holiday blessings and the 4 questions of Passover
-Sh’hehiyanu expressing gratitude in our lives

Fourth Grade

-Jewish holiday and lifecycle customs around the world
-Jewish sects and their traditions

Fifth Grade
 
-Torah: Genesis and Exodus
-Jewish values and famous Jewish philosophers
-Attendance at short weekly Tefillah (prayer service) 
-KEF Hebrew program options
 
Sixth Grade
 
-The Shabbat Morning Prayer Service 
-Hebrew Prayers: Barchu, Sh’ma, V’ahavta, Mi Chamocha, Short Blessings, Kiddush, Avot, Givurot, Torah and Haftarah Blessings
-Study of the prophets and sections that comprise the Haftarah selections and their relevance today
-Attendance at short weekly Tefillah (prayer service) 
-KEF Hebrew program options
-Beit Mitzvah family retreat (August)
