10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: BROTHERHOOD DOES ELKHORN SLOUGH

Walking Tour at 10am: Meet at 10:00 sharp at the visitor center in Elkhorn Slough Reserve, 1700 Elkhorn Road, Watsonville (about a 40-minute drive south from Santa Cruz) where longtime Elkhorn Slough Foundation Executive Director (and Brotherhood member) Mark Silberstein will meet our group and guide us on a fascinating tour of this natural wonder.  It’s roughly a two-mile walk with a few mild hills.  Cost: FREE, but please consider making a donation to the Elkhorn Slough Foundation at the visitor center.  You must RSVP to Mike at mike@reinlaw.net.   Website: Elkhorn Slough | One of California's Last Great Coastal Wetlands

Lunch at noon: Please feel free to bring a sack lunch to enjoy after the walk at the picnic area just outside the Elkhorn Slough visitor center.  We’ll provide some drinks and a few extra noshes.  Cost: FREE

Boat Tour at 1:30pm:  Brotherhood has chartered a 37-foot fully electric propulsion, environmentally considerate, carbon fiber/fiberglass, 32-passenger boat with Monterey Bay Eco Tours for a guided ride into nature.  The boat has zero emissions, allowing us to see the magical wildlife with minimal impact on their habitat or behavior.  Meet at the harbor at 10932 Clam Way in Moss Landing (just a few minutes from the Elkhorn Slough visitor center).  Website: Monterey Bay Eco Tours | Elkhorn Slough Tours.  Cost: $35 Adults; $30 kids 12 and under (normal Eco Tour prices are $40 for Seniors 65 and older; $45 for Adults; $35 for kids under 12).  You must RSVP to Mike at mike@reinlaw.net.

We hope you can join us for the walk, lunch and boat ride.
